делаю ./configure с параметрами:

и вываливается ошибка:

хотя в системе есть expat:

подскажите в чем дело, что я не так делаю?
если указывать --with-expat-dir=/usr/local
то ./configure отрабатывает нормально... но что то мне думается что неправильно так указывать?
