    к s0 я подключил модем zyxel 1449 (db60 <-> RC232)
Хочу перевести s0 в асинхронный режим через physical-layer async
но такой команды нет в
cs2500-exp(config-if)#physi?
cs2500-exp(config-if)#


    Почему так?

p.s. Есть смутное подозрение. Hа cisco есть async1-24,s0-1
Асинки, и сериал 1 заняты. Hужно подключить модем. Единственное решение  на s0.
Hеужели если на кошке есть async, то перевести serial в async нельзя?

Или не единственное решение?

должно быть

1 Ethernet/IEEE 802.3 interface(s)
2 Serial(sync/async) network interface(s)

значит не получится

"перевести serial в async mode"

p.s. Я так понимаю, что это от ios не зависит? Только "железо"?

Нет в 2500 серии команды physical-layer async и возможности перевода ее синхронных интерфейсов не предусмотренно, иос тут не причом это сугубо железо...

1 Эзернет
2 Синхронных
16 асинхронных

так что если понадобился еще один асинхронный канал используй AUX порт, правда тут он максимум на 38600 помоему работает, но у меня когдато давно когда стояли 2500 выручил :)... и полтора года на нем был асинхронный канал и работал на ура...
