    NAME
         sdtjmplay - The Common Desktop Environment Media Player

    SYNOPSIS
         sdtjmplay [ options ]

    DESCRIPTION
         sdtjmplay is a Java program based on the first release of
         JMF 1.0. It supports synchronization, control, processing,
         and presentation of compressed streaming and stored time-
         based media, including video, audio and MIDI across all Java
         enabled platforms.

         GUI consists of File, Player and Help pull-down menus. File
         menu can be used to Open File, Open URL, start a New Player,
         Close Player, or Exit sdtjmplay. Player menu has options to
         Auto Play, Auto Rewind, and Loop. Help menu pops up an
         information dialog redirecting users to Java Software's JMF
         website.

         sdtjmplay can be invoked from browser as a helper applica-
         tion. For example to display a Quicktime file, in
         ~/.mime.types, add the following.

         type=video/quicktime desc="Quicktime Player" exts=".mov"

         In ~/.mailcap, add the following.

         video/quicktime; $PATH/sdtjmplay %s;

         Restart browser.

         For modifying properties run /usr/dt/bin/sdtjmfconfig.

         Media types supported in this release are listed in folowing
         section.
